This is a lovely small size and nicely proportioned contemporary skeleton clock. The date is unknown but it is estimated to be late 20th century retailed by esteemed London Jewellers, Mappin and Webb. The clock is very nicely made, featuring passing strike on a single bell, and attractive 6 spoke wheels throughout. The back-plate and chapter ring are engraved “Mappin and Webb Ltd”. The movement is a traditional English fusee design with a cable drive connecting the mainspring barrel to the fusee. It stands nicely on a green onyx base under a glass dome.
The clock measures 33cm in height, 19cm in width and 14cm in depth.
